Any day now, I expect a loud knock at my door.
A slick anti-gun government lawyer — armed with trumped-up legal complaints from Michael Bloomberg-backed gun control organizations and their pals in the State Legislature — will be grinning from ear-to-ear as he tells me, “SEE YOU IN COURT!”
Sadly, these ugly tactics are becoming commonplace across America today — and doubly so here in Wisconsin — as anti-freedom forces routinely abuse our legal system to target those they disagree with.
And it’s not just “The Swamp” in Washington, D.C.
I’m sure you remember that here in Wisconsin, an out-of-control anti-gun District Attorney made national news a few years ago after targeting supporters of Governor Walker for police-state style pre-dawn raids.
With gun-grabbers more emboldened than ever pushing gun control schemes like so-called “Universal Background Checks” (anti-gun code for STATEWIDE GUN REGISTRATION,) I’m afraid the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition could be next on their hit list.
They know that with the November elections rapidly approaching, a frivolous legal assault could derail our election year programs before they’re able to get off the ground!
Sadly, it doesn’t matter that the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition plays by the rules.
It doesn’t matter that we don’t break laws (or even bend them) like so many other organizations.
More often than not, groups like ours are attacked for just being effective!
With the November elections right around the corner, the gun-grabbers are going to use EVERY tool at their disposal — including legal attacks — to try and DESTROY our 2018 election year programs.
As it stands right now, I do not have the funds to fight back against the gun-grabbers’ legal SMEARS — and run a full election year program — at the same time.
So the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition will be a sitting duck unless I can fix this problem — FAST.
I can’t explain what a DISASTER this would be.
I know you understand just how high the stakes are in 2018.
We’ve seen anti-gun candidates surge to victory after victory in Special Elections across our state. Insiders now say that the odds of the State Senate falling into anti-gun hands are incredibly high.
Meanwhile, REPUBLICAN House Speaker Robin Vos is openly talking about ramming Michael Bloomberg’s so-called “Universal Background Check” (STATEWIDE GUN REGISTRATION) Bill into law next year!
The ONLY way for our state government to enforce this scheme is to keep track of every gun and gun owner in the state.
That’s registration, plain and simple. And as you and I know, registration is just the first step toward CONFISCATION.
As if that weren’t bad enough, dozens of legislators have cosponsored bills to ban AR-15s and their standard 30-round magazines.
The State Legislature has already held votes on reinstating Wisconsin’s waiting period, banning bump stocks, and passing so-called “Universal Background Checks,” which shows legislators aren’t at all afraid of backlash from Second Amendment supporters like you and me.
That’s the real bad news in all of this . . .
If legislators AREN’T afraid of what could happen to them politically if they gut our Second Amendment freedoms, we might as well kiss our Second Amendment freedoms goodbye.
So it’s never been more important that you and I fight back with the biggest Candidate Survey program we’ve ever conducted.
But I’m afraid a well-timed legal threat could end up shutting our election year programs down!
Sadly, this kind of nonsense just goes with the territory.
And worse, it’s all designed to get good folks like you and me to stop “bothering” our “poor politicians.”
That way they can whittle away at our most cherished freedoms without ever having to worry about answering to the voters back home!
I’ve never, ever believed that’s the way politics should work — not for a second. I still believe politicians work for us, not the other way around. That’s why I started the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition in the first place.
Without organizations like the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition out there to call politicians to the carpet for their records, I shudder to think how many MORE of our freedoms would have already been tossed by the wayside.
That’s why they want to shut us up so badly ahead of November 2018.
So please sign and submit your Member Ballot to me right away and let me know which direction WIFC should take!
The gun-grabbers know that the moment politicians stop fearing backlash from the folks back home during election years, they’ll be free to go on a rampage attacking our Second Amendment freedoms.
Believing the media line that the political winds will be blowing their way this election year, they’re going all-out to seize BOTH houses of the Wisconsin State Legislature.
Should they succeed, you and I will have our hands full stopping the gun-grabbers’ radical agenda for Wisconsin.
That’s why our 2018 election year program has never been more important.
In fact, until just a few days ago, my hope was to run the biggest program in the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s history leading up to the November elections — using mail, emails, Internet ads, and even hard-hitting newspaper, radio and TV ads if I could raise the money to pay for them.
But I’m afraid, as it stands right now, I won’t be able to fund both a full-scale legal defense AND this election year effort.
I know we’ve done nothing wrong. But I can’t imagine just sitting back and hoping I don’t run into an anti-gun judge or prosecutor in the courtroom.
I have to prepare for the worst — or else I could be a sitting duck. So I need you to tell me what to do:
OPTION #1: Should I ignore the legal threats, hope nothing bad happens, and go all-in with a full-scale election year program?
OPTION #2: Should I just give in to the gun-grabbers, cut off all of the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s election year programs, and put all my focus into these frivolous legal threats? But if I choose this option, I know I’ll just be emboldening them to try it again and again in the future.
OPTION #3: Or should I FIGHT BACK on all fronts and keep my legal and election year programs running at full blast?
I know what I want to do. But I don’t have millions of dollars sitting around in the bank like BILLIONAIRE Michael Bloomberg and his pals.
The Wisconsin Firearms Coalition is run on a shoestring budget. OPTION #3 just really isn’t an “option” without a massive and IMMEDIATE influx of funds from the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s members and supporters.
I know that’s a lot to ask, Web, but the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Of course, if $200 is just too much, won’t you please agree to $100, $50 or at least $25 IMMEDIATELY?
With the November elections right around the corner and critical races heating up, I need to hear from you right away.
Please fill out your Wisconsin Firearms Coalition Member Ballot and submit it to me IMMEDIATELY!
When you’re done, please forward this email to all of your pro-gun friends and family and make sure they get involved in this fight as well!
