The Wisconsin State Legislature is back in session after their summer break, and gun-grabbers are more emboldened than ever.
They believe the political winds are now blowing their way, and the 2018 election year is all but in the bag.
And they believe our media has finally poisoned the political environment against anyone who dares to stand up for our Bill of Rights and defend the “white supremacists” who wrote them.
Sadly, there’s many politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle who are starting to believe they’re right.
So over the past several weeks, the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s plans for this legislative session have been forced to change.
In the face of all the fights on our plate, I’m facing an incredibly tough decision. So, I need your advice.
As you’ll see, I’ve included a link to your special Wisconsin Firearms Coalition Membership Ballot in this email. I’m counting on you to fill it out IMMEDIATELY.
Additionally, without an IMMEDIATE influx of funds, I’m afraid I’m going to have to make major cuts in our 2017 programs.
That’s why I’m counting on you to tell me where to focus.
After all, good folks like you are the backbone of the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition. Without your support, nothing we do would be possible.
First up on our agenda is battling anti-gun threats, which seem to be growing by the day.
Even with GOP control of Madison, I’m not taking anything for granted.
Would you? After you’ve seen politicians you’ve likely voted for or supported stab you in the back with impunity?
The truth is, high-powered consultants and insiders are telling anyone who will listen that it’s time to “compromise” and “go bipartisan” to look “reasonable” to the voters in 2018.
And BILLIONAIRE anti-gun activist Michael Bloomberg stands ready to pour in millions to get the balls rolling.
Cobbling together votes from BOTH sides of the aisle, gun-grabbers could very well get the votes they need to ram their ENTIRE agenda into law, including:
>>> A 48-hour waiting period to purchase a firearm.
So a convenience store clerk on the wrong side of town who knows he needs a gun can buy one, and still be killed by an armed thug before he’s able to defend himself;
>>> An outright BAN on so-called “Assault Weapons” targeting semi-automatic rifles and shotguns — some of which are even commonly used for hunting — for “looking scary;”
>>> A so-called “Universal Background Check” (STATEWIDE GUN REGISTRATION BILL). What gun-grabbers don’t tell you is that the ONLY way such a scheme could be enforced is if state governments keep track of every gun and gun owner in the state. And as you and I BOTH know registration is just the first step toward CONFISCATION.
ALL of these bills have already been introduced, and ALL have dozens of cosponsors.
And not long ago, multiple anti-gun groups across our state formed the “Wisconsin Coalition for Gun Safety” group to muscle them into law and DARE Governor Walker to veto them.
We cannot allow these fights to get that far.
So if you think stopping ALL gun control schemes should be the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s top priority, please mark “FIGHT BLOOMBERG’S ANTI-GUN ASSAULTS!” on your Member Ballot.
But before you do, please also consider that sometimes the best defense is a good offense.
And with the majorities in Madison, it’s high-time legislative leaders delivered for Wisconsin’s Second Amendment supporters — just like Second Amendment supporters have delivered majorities for them at election time.
There’s no better way than passing Constitutional Carry in Wisconsin.
Just in the past two years, Constitutional Carry has passed in Kansas, Maine, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota and West Virginia.
In Maine, it passed with a Democratic State House. In Missouri and West Virginia, it passed with pro-gun State Legislatures voting to override their anti-gun Democratic Governors’ vetoes.
So there’s no reason it can’t happen here.
If passed, Constitutional Carry would simply restore the right of law-abiding Wisconsin citizens to carry a concealed weapon without paying expensive fees or going through a bunch of bureaucratic rigmarole.
If you and I can force a vote, and EXPOSE the politicians who campaign as pro-gun but work behind the scenes to defeat you and me once elected, it could set up gun-grabbers for a massive defeat in 2018!
And that would put us yet another step closer to passage of this critical reform.
So if you think going on the offense with Constitutional Carry should be our number-one priority, please mark “EXPOSE THE GUN-GRABBERS” on your Member Ballot.
But please realize that deciding whether to focus on offensive or defensive fights isn’t our only concern. The 2018 election year is rapidly approaching.
The media and the gun-grabbers are more emboldened than ever right now.
And states like Wisconsin — that were once anti-gun strongholds for years — are going to be tops on the list for Michael Bloomberg and his BILLIONAIRE pals.
So we can’t just sit on our hands while the storm clouds gather all around us. We have to start fighting back NOW.
That means encouraging pro-Second Amendment candidates to run for office.
That means raising money to ensure we can hit the ground running with hard-hitting U.S. Mail, email, social media ads and even targeted radio spots.
After all, many political experts will tell you, early money is worth 4-5 times as much as money raised just a few weeks before an election.
We can stand up to the gun-grabbers’ assaults. But only if we stand together and fight.
So if you think preparing for 2018 is most important, please mark “STOP THE GUN-GRABBERS’ ELECTION SCHEME” on your Member Ballot.
Of course, there’s a fourth option, which I haven’t yet mentioned.
Truthfully, that’s the option I’m hoping you’ll choose. That’s “FIGHT THE GUN-GRABBERS EVERYWHERE!”
But if that’s the option you select, I must be able to count on your most generous support today.
I don’t have the money in the bank to do everything that needs to be done. I just don’t.
I know that’s a lot. But the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition can’t afford to start out this next legislative session behind the eight ball. Without your generosity, I’m afraid we will.
Of course, if $100 or more is too much, won’t you please agree to $50 or at least $25?
The Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s members and supporters have always come through in the past, and I’m truly thankful for all you do.
But today, I need to hear from you right away. Please give your advice and, if at all possible, your most generous contribution of $500, $100 or at least $25 TODAY!
For Freedom,
Greg Pruett
Political Director
