I’m a little concerned.
I haven’t yet heard back from you regarding your membership in the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition for 2018.

The truth is, as I told you in my last email, I believe 2018 is going to be a critical year for Second Amendment supporters here in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin is one of the states national anti-gun organizations and their Democrat pals have identified as “ripe for a takeover.”
And with the media doing all it can to drive up anti-gun hysteria after the recent horrors in Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs, Texas, gun-grabbers think they have 2018 in the bag.
If they succeed in taking over BOTH houses of our State Legislature, all bets could be off.
With total control of our Government in Madison, they’ll unleash their entire gun control agenda, including:
>>> So-called “Universal Background Checks” (aka STATEWIDE GUN REGISTRATION). The ONLY way the government can enforce such a scheme is to keep track of all guns and gun owners in the state. And as you and I both know, registration is just the first step toward outright CONFISCATION. A current version of this bill has 27 cosponsors in the House!
>>> A statewide “Assault Weapons Ban,” targeting handguns, rifles and shotguns — even those used for hunting — based on certain cosmetic features;
>>> The Gag Act, which is designed to muzzle organizations like the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition during election years by forcing us to jump through expensive bureaucratic hoops just to mention a candidate’s name and record during an election year!
While the events in Las Vegas and Sutherland Springs, Texas have certainly made them more emboldened, the gun-grabbers’ typical scheme relies on sneaking their handpicked candidates through hotly contested primaries and General Elections while keeping their views on “controversial” issues like gun rights mostly hidden.
Instead, their allies will just mouth poll-tested talking points on the campaign trail like, “I support the Second Amendment,” while also pledging support for “common sense gun safety.”
That’s why a public, roll-call vote on Constitutional Carry is the gun-grabbers’ worst nightmare.
The good news is, you and I have set the stage for just that with passage of Constitutional Carry through a key State Senate committee!
As you know, if passed, the Constitutional Carry Bill would restore the right of every law-abiding Wisconsin citizen to carry a gun to protect themselves and their families — WITHOUT having to add your name to a government database!
That means no more expensive application fees, endless paperwork, or carrying around a plastic-coated permission slip — just to exercise your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
In short, if you’re legally able to own a firearm, you’re legally able to carry it. Period.
This is the way it’s been done in Vermont, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona and Wyoming for some time.
And just in the past two years, Constitutional Carry has passed in Kansas, Maine, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, New Hampshire and West Virginia!
There’s no reason why it can’t happen here in Wisconsin.
And the great news is, just by fighting to force votes, we’re EXPOSING the anti-gun state legislators Michael Bloomberg and George Soros are counting on to take over our state.
Once exposed, the anti-gun “wolves in sheep’s clothing” in Madison will find there’s a major political price to be paid for voting against our gun rights.
So forcing a vote puts you and me in a win/win situation.
But with the 2018 election year rapidly approaching, the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s legislative programs, combined with our Primary and General Election Candidate Survey programs, could not be more critical.
The truth is, I need all hands on deck in 2018.
As I explained, our legislative programs will set the anti-gun dominoes up, and then our Candidate Survey programs will knock ‘em down!
That means mail, email, social media and even hard-hitting radio and online ads to ensure Wisconsin’s Second Amendment supporters know the TRUTH about where their candidates stand on critical gun rights issues.
Once exposed, opponents of Constitutional Carry in BOTH parties are going to run into a buzz saw at the ballot box!
Of course, our brass-knuckled election year programs don’t always make us friends among the “insider” crowd in Madison, or in the anti-gun national media.
But we don’t care about being invited to the swanky cocktail parties in Madison, or getting nice articles written about us in the Milwaukee-Journal Sentinel.
We care about one thing, and one thing only. That’s the protection of our Second Amendment freedoms.
Of course, none of the work we do would be possible without your generous support. So I can’t bear to see you walk away.
Not now.
After all, you’re a critical part of the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition’s winning team.
So when you renew your membership in the Wisconsin Firearms Coalition, please consider “digging deep” and renewing at a higher amount than you have in the past.
The truth is, we have so much on our plates in 2018.
Of course, as always, the amount you choose is up to you.
But I hope you will agree to $125 or even $75 or $35 if you can.
